If you just want to blog for fun, feel free to keep reading, but you’re really in the wrong place.
We’re here to start blogs that make good money.
So what are the right niches? The ones that already been proven time and time again to be money makers.
Not completely limited to this list, but they generally fall under one of these categories:
- Health & Fitness
- Food or Nutrition
- Personal Finance
- How to Make Money
- Beauty and Fashion
- Lifestyle
- Travel
- Personal Development
One of the reasons for choosing a niche in one of these categories gives you a greater chance for success is because these topics also do well on Pinterest.
Why the heck should you care about that? You can read about that here.
Anyway, picking the right niche is important because you don’t want to pick something so small that your audience potential isn’t big enough to make you a significant amount of money.
You can do a broad category, for example, Personal Finance, but you want to find your niche within that so that you don’t get lost in a sea of other Personal Finance bloggers.
What sets you apart?
It’s okay to start out more broadly to test the waters. As you start to see which specifics areas within your broad category are doing well, then you can hone in on those.
If you have something in mind that you want to focus your blog around, go out and find another blog around that topic that is doing well.
If you can’t find one, your topic is probably not a good candidate. Why? Because if that topic could have made money, someone would have done it already.
